Fluminimaggiore can be reached in less than an hour from Cagliari, and is about 80 kms from Cagliari-Elmas Airport and about 92 kms from the port.
By car from Cagliari: take the main SS 130 road towards Iglesias, then turn onto the main SS 126 road towards Fluminimaggiore.
By car from the central-north Sardinia (Olbia, Porto Torres, Sassari, Nuoro, Oristano): follow the main SS 131 road until you approach Cagliari, then take the main SS 130 road (towards Iglesias) or make your way to Guspini along the main SS 126 road, and go on towards Arbus-Fluminimaggiore.
By bus: our village can be reached by bus along the Iglesias-Fluminimaggio route run by the Ferrovie Meridionali Sarde.
By train: From every part of Sardinia. The nearest train station is in Iglesias. From there you must continue your journey by bus towards Fluminimaggiore.

The territory of Fluminimaggiore has a surface area of 10,821 hectares and consists of high mountains from the slopes of Mount Linas (Mount Lisone and Punta Nestru 1,082m a.s.l.) going down towards the sea through wide hill lands and the fertile plains of Portixeddu.
The name of our village comes from the river Rio Flumini Mannu which runs through our territory.
